Banning Single Family Homes in Vancouver Canada

New Zealand has recently announced an end to single-family zoning in its five biggest cities, with the goal of encouraging more medium density construction to predominantly single-family areas. In this video, Surrey Real Estate specialist Steve Karrasch of Macdonald Realty, discusses the potential implications of BC adopting a similar “ban to single family homes” in Vancouver and how such a change would affect the price of housing in Metro Vancouver and surrounding areas.

What do you think? Should Vancouver consider adopting a similar “end to single-family zoning” policy?
